Weight gain during pregnancy… 29 weeks?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 | Gain Weight Pregnancy

I will be 29 weeks tomorrow and I’m just curious about weight gain during pregnancy. So far I’ve gained about 25 pounds. Is this normal?
I was a normal weight before I got pregnant. It’s weird because I don’t look like I’ve gained any weight at all really. My belly is actually small for how far along I am and all the weight I have gained has gone straight to my belly. I haven’t put weight on anywhere but there

that is a little much, you are supposed to gain 25-35 in your whole pregnancy, and you gain a lot in your last trimester trust me. try to watch what you eat and make sure you are eating healthily.

Sounds ok to me as long as you were average weight to begin with. If you were overweight before, 25 is a little much at this point. But as long as you are eating healthy that’s what is important.

That weight gain is fine as long as your doctor isnt concerned. Some say you gain more in the third trimester but I didnt. I gained more in my second and have leveled out now. They say ideal gain is between 25-35lbs so I think you are doing fine. Good luck.

If you were underweight than 25 lbs is fine, if overweight it would be up to your oby if they feel you are ok, then you are ok. I was about 10 lbs overweight so I am only allowed to gain 25 my whole pregnancy and I have gained 17 lbs with 5 weeks to go. I gained 45 my second pregnancy but I also started off underweight
