If you started at a healthy weight, you should expect to gain about four to six pounds in the first trimester. As your baby really starts growing, you will too. In the second and third trimesters, you can expect to gain about one pound a week.

Hope that helps. And good luck with your pregnancy. xD

every woman is different, some do not gain any weight the first or second trimester. Just make sure you see your Dr regularly and do as he or she tells you. Eat healthy, plenty of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water and you will be fine. God Bless ya and that wee one

Yep, that’s right. On average people should gain 10 lbs max during their first trimester. Some women don’t gain any in the first trimester and some may gain it later in the 1st trimester and make it up in the 2nd. Depends, different people, different bodies.

Yes, that is right. I went to the doctor April 17 and I had only gained 2 pounds. I went May 15 and had gained 7 more. So, I have gained 9 pounds all together and I’m 21 weeks. I am also underweight though so I’m suppose to gain up to 40 pounds. With my first I gained 48pounds, but I only weighed 93 pounds when I got pregnant.

it depends, each woman is different. the first trimester( first 3 mos) u should gain about 3-4 lbs. so 10 lbs by the 4th month sounds like a bit much.
you should gain 12-14 lbs throughout the 2nd trimester.

I lost weight during my first tri. I wasn’t sick at all, I was just so hungry all the time that I couldn’t keep up! I didn’t starve myself of course, but if I was out shopping, I didn’t always have access to food. I lost a total of 10 lbs and have only gained 5 back. I am 16w. I think everyone is just different. My midwife said she wouldn’t be worried if I didn’t have a significant weight gain until 28-30 weeks. I started out small when I got pregnant so I really should be gaining 40 lbs total, but not sure I’ll reach that! Good luck!
