Help unexplainable weight gain?
I am 5’5 medium frame and weigh 118-119 pounds as of this morning over the past few weeks my weight has fluctuated between 116-119 lbs. I am very active i run anywhere from 3.5-4 miles a day strength train 2-4 times a week and do additional workout videos 20-25 mintues. I eat healthy such as salads, regular oatmeal for breakfast, grilled fish or chicken with dinner. I am recovering from an eating disorder. Could the weight be muscle I have gained? Or is this just pure body fat? I also am on a period and currently started it, could this also be water weight?

You should poop.
Ok I have had the EXACT same problem(s) over the last 10 or so years with dieting and exercise. The weight gain is most likely water weight gain and only takes a day or two to come off. When I have my period I gain about 4-5 pounds every single month without fail and I ask myself the same questions. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th days of your period will be when you will see the scale go up. It will definitely go back down on or by the last day of your period. If you continue to exercise and eat healthy like you say, you will be just fine and maintain your weight. When I quit smoking I went to the gym twice a day and doubled my cardio and lost 15 pounds rapidly. Believe me, I take one day at a time and try to eat well and workout EVERY SINGLE day. Take Care.
It’s water weight for sure! A couple tips, avoid salt, alcohol and caffeine the week before and during your period, drink tonnes of water and make sure you weigh yourself at the same time of day everyday (ie, don’t compare your 8am weight to your 8pm weight). A three pound fluctuation is very normal. Please don’t worry.
