Fad Diets are short term approaches which are used to temporarily lose weight through unrealistic and unsafe methods. The first thing you need to do is ask if the diet is healthy and if it is gives the nutrition you need.
Consultation with the Physician is a must; however sticking to the diet could be tough initially as you may be fond of certain prohibited food items. Example you may be asked to leave sweets or carbohydrates when you are actually very fond of sweets or maybe pasta. This is not a very great idea because the body needs all kind of food to be healthy it is better to regulate the quantity instead of giving up anything completely.
Working woman and mothers have their hands full and it is tough for them to stick to strict routines which are a part of most of the diets like maintaining proper intervals and sometimes preparation of certain food supplements etc. These diets may rob your body of nutrition and affecting your health which in turn leads to lesser inclination to do your regular chores.
When you try using a fad diet that is a low on carbohydrate and calories it will make your metabolism slower and everything you eat will be stored as fat. This will mean that the opposite will happen instead of loosing you will end up becoming healthy. The body adjusts to the low intake and thinks that it is starving and stores for even further starved diet.
However once you start eating regularly the body will understand that it actually does not need so many calories and you will start gaining weight. Actually the weight loss in these diets in not really loss of fat it is loss of fluids mainly water that happens. Intake of lesser calories leads to burning up of glycogen which is a tye of glucose that absorbs fluids. Therefore these diets are temporary measures and the moment you stop them you gain back the weight you have lost or maybe even more.
Moreover going without a category of food may sometimes cause extreme cravings which are not good, it will either have you giving in or continuous suppressing could lead to serious mental health disorder.
Failure of the diet could disillusion you and you may loose all inclination to lose weight altogether. There could be various implications like getting into depression or hurting own health further by trying drastic diet plans. This is not what you want, losing weight need to be slow and steady so that it stays away forever and does not come back the moment you stop the diet plan.
