What to Eat To Gain Weight
One of the most important factors in gaining weight and muscle fast is your diet. If you are not consuming enough of the proper food, your gains will be much slower than they have to be and in some cases nonexistent. This is especially true for so called “hardgainers” who have a faster metabolism. Knowing what foods to eat in order to gain muscle is very important.
The basic rule to gain muscle is to consume more calories than you burn on a daily basis. You do this by first finding the amount of calories you consume in order to maintain your body weight and once that is found you simply add from there. For example, lets say you take in around 2,000 calories a day. In order to gain muscle you would have to increase your calorie intake from 2,000 to something a bit higher. Calories aren’t the only thing that count in your quest to build muscle and gain weight fast; you must also take into account the types of foods you are eating in order to see the biggest gains in muscle growth.
Chicken: This is a great source of lean protein.
Egg whites: Usually when we eat eggs we do not remove the yolk. The reason it is recommended to just eat the egg white is due to the fact that the yolk contains a high amount of cholesterol that can lead to clogged arteries and heart problems. Plus the egg white is where all the protein is at.
Whole Oats/Oatmeal: Can’t leave out the carbs. Although many will tell you to not take in many carbs, there is a different between good carbs and bad carbs.
Nuts: Things such as almonds and peanuts are healthy and provide a good amount of protein.
